Ethnomusicology.<\/strong> Saturday morning, October 22, 2022 along the Kulon Progo Regent Office complex road looked different from usual days. The streets were packed with the people of Wates and its surroundings to watch the cultural arts carnival titled Menoreh Tourism Fest 2022. This carnival is part of the activities in the framework of the 71st Anniversary of Kulon Progo Regency in 2022. Taking the start at the Kulon Progo Cultural Park along the road to Wates Square and ending at Wates Market. The enthusiasm of the community was clearly seen in the carnival performance. The event organized by the Kulon Progo Regency Tourism Office feels like a thirst quencher for cultural arts performances in Wates Kulon Progo after a vacuum due to the covid 19 pandemic.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Menoreh Tourism Fest 2022 cultural arts carnival presented 22 cultural arts groups from the Special Region of Yogyakarta and several representatives from regencies in Indonesia. The Yogyakarta Air Force Academy (AAU) Drumband Corps, Cendhik's Art Dance Cultural Art Group of Yogyakarta City Cultural Office, Rebana Silat Temanten Cultural Art Group of Pekalongan, Darma Giri Budaya Wonogiri Dance Studio, Sardulo Suryo Putro Ponorogo Reyog Art Group, Rawikara Nari Bahuwarna Art Studio (SSRNB) of Gunung Kidul, Sekar Penyanding Studio of Pangkal Pinang, Soreng Warga Setuju Magelang, Nusantara Ethnic Music Group of Bantul, Parahiangan Cultural Art Group of IKPM West Java, Cultural Arts Group Move Art Dance Kulon Progo, Cultural Arts Group Nareswara Ethnic Magetan, Sanggar Puser Langit Cirebon, Cultural Arts Group Asmoro Tunggal Temanggung, Cultural Arts Group of South Lampung Arts Council (DKLS) South Lampung, Sanggar Dhea Gombong Kebumen, Sanggar Sritanjung Banyuwangi, Cultural Arts Group Mudho Utomo Purworejo, Cultural Arts Group Banyumas Cablaka Kenthongan, Art Studio Talatah Subang, Cultural Arts Group Laskar Tjakraningrat Bangkalan Madura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Ethnomusicology ISI Yogyakarta representing Bantul Regency presented a collaboration of ethnic music percussion of the archipelago worked on by Warsana, M.Sn., M.Yoga Supeno, M.Sn, and Ribeth Nurvijayanto, M.A. The players consisted of students, lecturers and alumni of the Department of Ethnomusicology assisted by students from the Department of Dance ISI Yogyakarta. The musicians included M. Yoga Supeno, M.Sn, Erlika Firanda, S.Sn., Alfian maulana, Ribeth Nurvijayanto, S.Sn., M.A., Brema cloudio evertama sembiring, M Rizky Setiawan, Join sinaga, Rawang asman, Muhammad Welderahmat, Luis martin stavanus, Gusti Made Ngurah Yogia Dwiyandra, Pande Narawara Wayan, Nona Rozalia, M. Luthfi Fauzi, Frendy Satria Palindo, S.Sn., I Gede Mei Sutrisna Yasa, Ida Bagus Pradnyananta Arimbawa. The dancers included Sholehah Azzahra, Lingga Astrie Puspitasari, Alfirahma Astia Putri, Firda Adelia Pratiwi, Gandhi Lufi Faras Alya Ayu Putri, Desy Permata Sari, Arimbi Paskah Saraswati, and Putu Ayu Arindyasari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The instruments used are terbang, Balinese drums, ceng-ceng, ogung, djembe, and saxophone as a melodic introduction. The musical nuances presented play the rhythmic patterns of Malay, Batak, Balinese baleganjur, Indian bhangra, and koplo senggakan. The musical nuances presented have their own flavor\/aesthetic. The compositions performed take the concept of cross-cultural music that implies the meaning of \u201cdifference\u201d is not something that is contested but presents a harmonization in life. Nusantara Music Ansamble is a vehicle for activities for the academic community of the Ethnomusicology Department of Isi Yogyakarta in the fields of education and community service. In the future, Nusantara Music Ansamble will become an UKM from the Department of Ethnomusicology which offers ethnic music learning for the entire student community at ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
