Yogyakarta, July 30, 2025 - The Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Performing Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta held FESTIKA, the Children's Ethnic Music Festival, as a forum for developing children's talent and love for traditional music. This year, FESTIKA carries four main competitions for kindergarten students: Singing Competition, Macapat, Angklung, and Drumband. Singing Competition <\/strong>was held on Friday-Saturday, October 03-04, 2025 at the Mini Concert of the Department of Ethnomusicology ISI Yogyakarta. Macapat Competition<\/strong> took place on Saturday, October 04, 2025 at the Public Lecture Building of the Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Yogyakarta. Angklung Competition<\/strong>\u00a0will be held on Saturday, October 04, 2025 at ISI Yogyakarta's Arena Theater Building. Meanwhile,\u00a0Drumband Competition<\/strong>\u00a0will take place on Sunday, October 05, 2025 at the Multipurpose Building of ISI Yogyakarta. The whole competition is held from 09.00 - 17.00 WIB.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

FESTIKA is not just a competition, but also a space for children to learn, create, and expand their musical experience from an early age. The big theme of this activity is the preservation of ethnic music and strengthening character through art, the committee hopes that this event can foster a sense of love and pride in the nation's culture.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Participants can register their teams with a registration fee of IDR 100,000 per person for Macapat and Singing competitions while Angklung and Drumband competitions are IDR 300,000 per team. Each participant will get various facilities, including trophies, certificates, coaching money, and of course a very valuable new experience.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The total prizes up for grabs reach millions of rupiah. Registration closes on September 01, 2025 and can be done online through the link provided by the committee.<\/p>\n
