Selonding is a periodical scientific journal published and managed by the Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Performing Arts, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta together with the Indonesian Ethnomusicology Society (MEI), published twice a year (March and September). 

Selonding Selonding as a Scientific Journal tries to position itself as an arena to store, publish the development of Nusantara ethnic music, both in the form of ideas, thoughts, studies or creations and does not close itself to the ethnic music of other countries. Talking about the ethnic music of the archipelago, it cannot be separated from local genius thinking in the substance of scientific relations wrapped in the meaning of messages in the form of art, therefore Selonding tries to provide answers to problems, developments and scientific substance of the ethnic music of the archipelago. Accredited SINTA 5 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Number 204/E/KPT/2022.
